Irrfan Khan: "The role I was given in Salaam Mumbai was removed. I was in the final year of the National School of Drama. I was given some so-called parallel cinema films by Govind ji and Mr. Chattarjee. I kept doing television as well. I started directing television at that point. I had found television acting to be quite boring at that time. What does not need to be said also has to be said on TV. He gave me a character in Far North, but I was busy with the shooting for Mighty Heart."
