A notes Odissi and Bharatnatyam dancer Sonal Mansingh has been dancing for Republic Day for quite some time now has been a day to present a new choreographic offering to the public. An offering which is more than just a pretty dance but an empathetic statement on matters that concern an agitator. While in the past the dance attack with social issues, this time her area of concern is the widespread environmental degradation across the country. Sonal Mansingh says "It's an introspective work also forcing people to sit down and rethink the priorities and the value systems. So I chose the environment because today everybody is talking about the degradation of the outer environment which directly effects our inner environment, our new attitude."
