This new urban Indian landscape lies south of New Delhi city, in Gurgaon, Haryana, and comprises of a mixture of commercial and residential towers, metro tracks and stations, residential villas and stand-alone town-houses, the Mehrauli-Gurgaon arterial road, and other elements of mixed land use. While Gurgaon had the opportunity to get better planned out, it sort of lost the plot the way, with greedy bureaucrats, ill-planned CLU (Change of Land Use) giving by politicos and quick-buck land flipping by real estate sharks and developers.
