Fishermen crowd the beach of Kanyakumari at the southern-most tip of India. Watch the masses of fishing nets, baskets, fishing coracle-like dug-out boats and their catch of tiny little fish that were caught in the fishing net. They place their oars in the dug-outs and haul up the heavy boat ashore. Kanyakumari, formerly known as Cape Comorin, is a town in Kanyakumari District in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It lies at the southernmost tip of mainland India (the southern extremity of India as a whole being Indira Point on Great Nicobar Island).
