Somnath Maity is an Indian artist who depicts the urban life in his paintings. In this video, he presents his art at Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. He often shows cityscapes and slums in his paintings. He focuses on the slums and its architecture in the middle of urbanization. Along with the paintings of Somnath Maity are the art pieces of a young artist Ranjit Kurin.
