Driving up from Claridge's Nabha Hotel, on the road to Dhanolti via Bataghat, from Mussoorie. En route, one passes through Jabbarkhet Estate (home of the haunted house!), and joins up with the Landour road coming from Woodstock school, also known as the Tehri road. Filmed on 6th January 2012. This year's winter snowfall has set a record of sorts! We normally don't experience more than a few inches of snow at a time in the Landour-Mussoorie region. This year, we have had a sustained two weeks of repeated snowfall which has turned to ice on the steep and narrow road leading up from Ruskin Bond's house and Momo's Doma's Restaurant up to Char Dukani and Rokeby Manor. Some of the best SUV's have not been able to handle the icy conditions and skiddiness and have backed off to Mussoorie. Regardl
