Gopi Gajwani says "When I graduated from Delhi School Of Art in 1959, since then I have been slowly working. For some time there was a gap for various reasons but then from 1963 onwards, I was into drawings and painting. My earlier work included charcoal drawings and abstract drawings with little wash. Like grey, black and teak browns, mainly on paper. Later I came to oil. But earlier I was working with Chinese ink and crayons. But most of them were black and white with few colours. Well, I had a desire to be an artist and I chose after schooling to get into an art school to become an artist. Success and failure is a later part." Gopi Gajwani is an Indian artist.
