Driving to Manali from Shimla on NH 305 takes one along Theog, Aani, Jalori Pass, Aut, Kullu, etc. Nearing Aut one also comes across the water channel of the 100 MW Sainj Hydroelectric Project. The magnanimous 2.5 km long Aut Tunnel fills all drivers with admiration for civil engineering work.
