At the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, Banchari folk artists from Palwal district present a high-energy cultural performance. The musicians and dancers perform with large traditional percussion instruments known as nagadas (or nangar), mounted on wheeled frames. These drums are handcrafted using metal or wooden bases with natural leather heads, producing deep resonant beats. A decorative peacock prop with fanned feathers forms a vibrant backdrop, often linked to Mayur dance traditions. Performers wear traditional Haryanvi attire, enhancing the visual richness of the act. The scene captures rhythmic movement, music, and audience engagement in a festive cultural setting.
