Anal tribe and Monsang tribe of Manipur showcasing their ethnic attire during Sangai festival in Manipur. The Anal people are a scheduled tribe found in Manipur, India and in Myanmar. They speak their own language, Anal. They are closely related to the Naga people. According to the 2001 census, there are 21,242 Anal in India. They are traditionally farmers, carpenters and weavers, although modernization has caused the traditional methods to be abandoned. Monsang tribe is one among the indigenous tribes of the North-East India, inhabiting the south-east part of Manipur state border to Myanmar particularly in Chandel district. Monsangs have their own distinct culture and tradition and are peace-loving people. Lamkang or Lamgang Tribe is a group that divided from the Anal Tribe of Manipur and
