Uprooted trees tell a story of a ravaged eco-system after the terrible tsunami struck South Asia around the Andaman Sea. Entire mangrove swamps were deluged and even destroyed, with the peripheral trees uprooted and dumped on the shoreline of the now-tough-to-visit Greater Nicobar Island, the southern-most point of India. Prior to the destruction, these trees seem to have adjusted to climate change, growing longer roots despite being in shallow soil...
