Found in the northern parts of Himachal Pradesh and Garhwal, this is a plant of open slopes and high meadows. Easily identified by its terminal cluster of purple to chocolate-brown flowers, which look in some ways like those of the domestic pea, and the leaves which comprise three hairy leaflets.
