I think that P&G and CRY have a great effort going in Project Shiksha. I really believe in their cause and I think they are really doing something wonderful. I think there are a lot of reasons for this. One of them is that there is a gender bias. Sometimes we educate the girl child less than a boy. The economics of it. Education should be free. Keeping children in schools. Even if some families send them to school for one or two years and then they drop out. There are class and caste factors too. Keep children in school and give them an education. I would be nowhere today without my education. I know people who are stuck in life as they do not have the education.
