At the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi, a reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus) is displayed within a controlled habitat enclosure. This species is native to South and Southeast Asia and is known for its distinctive net-like pattern on the skin. It is one of the longest snake species in the world and is non-venomous, using constriction to subdue prey. Reticulated pythons inhabit forests, grasslands, and areas near water bodies in their natural range. The enclosure replicates aspects of its natural environment with appropriate temperature and humidity conditions.
