The fast growing town of Champawat is seeing a lot of non-traditional non-pahari architecture take over it's traditional rural look. Unplanned development is rendering the green hills of Kumaon into a semi-urban sprawl. Yet the rolling meadows and green fields remain and the deodar forests surrounds the hill town, so there are some beautiful patches to enjoy and covet in this rural Kumaon hamlet-town! Champawat is a fairly medium-sized town in Uttarakhand. It's a clean place and a pilgrimage site of Hindu for worshipping Lord Shiva in the old temple called Baleshwar. The valley looks green and the weather looks soothing due to the post-monsoonal season. Baleshwar Temple complex is believed to be a 10th-century temple complex.
