A palanquin (palki) carrying a religious idol being carried in in a procession into Jubbal town, Himachal Pradesh, India, to celebrate the wedding of the prince of Jubbal and to bless the newly-weds. Notice the concrete RCC (reinforced cement concrete) pillars used in modern hill town construction, as opposed to the slate, wood and stone of yore!
