This one woman in a green sari (saree) is getting over-enthusiastic in beating this one man, it seems. She jumps in the air before each hit, in order to get extra momentum for her arms and to bear down with fuller body weight with the stick, as it strikes the man! Women hitting men with sticks or laathis as a part of holi celebration and men protecting themselves using metal shields. Lath mar Holi takes place well before the actual Holi celebration. It takes place at Barsana near Mathura in the state of Uttar Pradesh. People flock to the suburban town of Barsana near Mathura to see Lath Mar Holi, a special form of traditional festivity.
