Uniformed police and plainclothes policemen march with lathis on the main streets and the small locality streets in West Bengal to ensure that lockdown is followed and there is no unnecessary movement. Police accost commuters and are sent home if they are outside without permits. Riot police in full gear are seen patrolling the streets. Shopkeepers are made to draw circle demarcations to ensure distance among customers. Notice some of the police officers being out and about without masks.
