Priest performs aarti on behalf of childless couples who take part in khad deeva. Thousand of devotees gather to witness this ritual of Khad deeeva. On the occasion of Vaikunth Chaturdashi during the month of Kartik, according to the Hindu calendar, a fair is organized at the Kamleswar Mahadev temple of Srinagar situated in the state of Uttarakhand. On the night of Vaikunth Chaturdashi this temple witnesses thousands of childless couples praying with lighted 'Diyas' or earthen lamps held alight on their hands, in a prayer to cure their infertility. Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple located in Srinagar, Uttarakhand, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Vaikunth Chaturdashi in the month of Kartik is a highly auspicious day at the temple.
