A Woolly-necked stork or whitenecked stork ( Ciconia episcopus) stands near the edge of a water body. It spreads its wings and grooms its black plumage with streaks of green, purple iridescence. A few of the storks are at a water source drinking water. These storks are monogamous and they mate for life. They are migratory in nature. They are solitary birds but are seen in groups of few numbers while wading or in watering holes.
