People dry fish on roof of their fishing boats at fishing harbour in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Fishing is a major industry in Visakhapatnam. A number of fishermen has their livelihoods depend on Fishing in Visakhapatnam. There are seven ice factories in the Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour and 10 located outside the harbour that caters to the ice needs of the fishermen. The factories can produce 400 tonnes of ice. Each ice factory employ 15 workers directly and indirectly for ice production.
