''Make in India' show stage catches fire in Mumbai

A major fire burnt down the stage of a cultural show organised to celebrate the Make in India week at the Girgaum Chowpatty beach, Marine Drive, in Mumbai. A galaxy of dignitaries from politics, business, bureaucracy and Bollywood were present at the site of accident. The fire started at 8:17 pm from below the wooden stage when a Lavni dance performance was on. It took nearly an hour for over a dozen fire engines, which rushed to the spot, to control it.
