Mechai Viravaidya, a politician of Thailand speaks at Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. He says, "I feel very privileged and honored to have been invited to share some of my experience with you today needless to say I feel very humbled because I come from a country that is smaller than some of your states. The tasks Thailand has obviously must be easier than the tasks that lie ahead of India but nevertheless, we are all people if something works at a smaller level then it can be applied in a larger context and what Madam you have said in terms of providing the total holistic approach to people and population management I totally agree I don't think you will find in the long-term anything that is compulsory in changing people's behaviour will work history has proven very clearly that it is education
