A L&T Komatsu (Larsen and Toubro) crane arm, a JCB and a Kobelco digger/excavator is put to work to separate rubble to search for the injured. The crowds and crowded location hamper the work. Buildings in Bombay often cave in due to the humidity, their infirm condition, age and poor construction. A commendable rescue effort by the police and disaster management folks in Bombay helped rescue this injured man from a collapses building in Mumbai.
