Mastery of a technique and a passion to portray nature on a piece of canvas make Mumbai-based G K Dhanoo a successful artist. To the connoisseurs of art, this was more than evident at an exhibition of his paintings which opened in Mumbai this week. Though his preferred medium is oil and his subject mostly figurative, Dhanoo's paintings combine the subtlety of watercolours with the vibrancy and brightness of oil.
