Artisan does the marble inlay at a factory in Agra, India Agra is famous for its heritage and culture, but it is also a leading place to witness as well as buy items made from marble. Known as marble inlay work, this intricate art form is a closely guarded secret, and passed on for several generations within a small, well-knit community. In this hour-long activity, we will take you to a place where you will observe a live demonstration of this art, in an air-conditioned Swift or a similar car. It begins with a floral design or geometrical design engraved on the marble slab. Then, small pieces of different marble shades are cut delicately to fit in these groove, to create the final product. Along with the marbles, a few other materials are also used to get it a finished look. This art form
