Anjolie Ela Menon's friend says "I think she is a wonderful and a great human being. Anjolie Ela Menon, (born July 17, 1940, Burnpur, Bengal [now in West Bengal], India), Indian painter and muralist who was best known for her religious-themed works, portraits, and nudes that incorporated a vibrant colour palette and were rendered in a variety of styles ranging from cubism to techniques that recalled the artists of the European Renaissance.
