Beautiful female dancer performs classical Apsara dance of Cambodia during 31st surajkund craft mela in Faridabad, Haryana. Apsara dancers are well dressed with traditional costumes and they wear elegant silk clothing with floral motifs, magnificent headdresses and jewelries. They dance so gracefully with sinuous gestures that codified to narrate classical myths or religious stories. Robam Tep Apsara is the title of a Khmer classical dance created by the Royal Ballet of Cambodia in the mid-20th century under the patronage of Queen Sisowath Kossamak. According to the Hindu mythology, Apsaras were beautiful female creatures that descended from heaven to entertain Gods and Kings with their dance.
