On December 11, 2008, a number of Bollywood and television stars, including Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ayesha Takia, and others, attended Hakim Aalim's new salon inauguration in Versova, Mumbai. Aalim Hakim: I've been working on this for the past two and a half years, and it's going great. Mahesh Manjrekar: Aalim is my lifeblood because without him, I wouldn't be able to do anything. I've completed two films, and he has given me a variety of looks. Mahesh Manjrekar: I couldn't accomplish anything without Aalim, thus he is my lifeblood.
