Shaan at Sidewalk cafe, Mumbai for the launch of his album 'Tanha Dil'

Shaan says "This is my second solo album titled 'Tanha Dil'. I am sure it sounds like a heavy ghazal album, however, its a pop album with few heavy points. I have been a teeny popper and have been doing funny songs, so I wanted to present my audience with some maturity. But this album still has fun songs. Today is the launch at Sidewalk cafe, a famous restaurant in Mumbai. Both the product and restaurant are off-beat. I have written all the songs of this album and tunes of Ram Sampat have been used for 4 songs and other 4 are self-composed." Shaan was born on September 30, 1972 in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, India as Shantanu Mukherjee. He is known for his work on Fanaa (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007) and 3 Idiots (2009).
