A herd of nilgai or Bluebull antelope walk in the backdrop of a flock of Bar-headed Geese flying in to land at a Bharatpur wetland, even as a huge group of village cows graze in the same habitat, thus causing a major conflict between protected areas and rural village lands, livestock, human beings, and wild birds. Obviously, the same level of protection is not being accorded to the birds of Keoladeo Ghana as was being done during the Field Director tenure of Shruti Sharma of the IFS. It is important that wild populations of birds and animals do not mix with domestic livestock, to prevent spread of disease and to prevent competition for meager resources. Watch a compilation of different birds inside Keoladeo National Park in flight. Either a flock or in singles these birds spread their wing
