Hindi cinema's dancing diva, Hema Malini performs bharatnatyam on stage. An accomplished classical dancer, Hema Malini earned the epithet of ‘dreamgirl’ for her flawless beauty and became a pioneering female superstar in the otherwise male-oriented film industry. The actress has starred in more than 155 movies and has also produced and directed two movies, and also directed a TV serial. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2000 and has won two Filmfare awards - Best Actress for Seeta aur Geeta in 1973 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993. Apart from her acting prowess, Hema Malini is also a well-known classical dancer. Her first performance was as a dancer in a 1961 Tamil movie.
