Age-old tantrik rituals take place in the dead of night at the high Himalayan village of Lakhat in Uttarakhand, during an auspicious festive season. An old man receives blessings from the village elders, crawling on his feet and arms to get from one of them to the other. A conch shell is being sounded even as everyone goes around in a frenzied fashion.
