A day of pride for India and the Indian army, the Republic Day of India showcases India's military might through parades of the many army regiments from different states of India. An intense parade of the Mahar Regiment contingent on the Rajpath during the 72nd Republic Day of India followed by the other infantry contingents. The Mahar Regiment has been initiated since the days of the British Raj and disbanded and inducted time and again till the 1940s. Now it is a permanent machine gun regiment in the Indian army.
