Badarpur is an elevated station on the Violet Line of the Delhi Metro. It is located after Tughlakabad station and is the terminal station on the line. The station was opened on January 14, 2011, as part of the Sarita Vihar—Badarpur section of the line, and situated in Badarpur, Delhi locality close to the interstate border between the city of Faridabad in Haryana and Delhi and sees a large daily ridership owing to this fact. The Delhi Metro (DMRC) is a state owned company with equal equity participation from Government of India and Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
