Houses in the rural areas affected by the monsoon floods are filmed submerged in water with only the roofs peeking out of the water. Rescue workers in traditional wooden canoes are seen rowing over the floodwater to reach the residents stranded on the highlands. The residents are filmed living in small makeshift camps on the higher elevated land. A community kitchen is functioning to cook food. Food is being prepared in the makeshift camp as we film.
