Traditional paintings of Mysore was exhibited in the capital at Urusvati center of contemporary art. The exhibition of four India women artists is a collection of elegant and attractive paintings that represent to the viewer a variety of artistic expressions while depicting the Gods and Goddesses from the Hindu pantheon and mythological scenes based on the Puranas. An interesting aspect of the exhibition was the use of earthy vegetable colors which are the trademark characteristics of the traditional Mysore school of painting.
