Corona Lockdown and we are indoors but the amount of plastic waste and degradable waste still fills the SDMC dustbins in South Delhi. Rotten trash, plastic waste, cardboard fills the dust bin. With no proper protective gear, these sanitation workers are exposing themselves to the toxins and harmful components of the waste. This trash will be transported to the dumping yards on the outskirts of the city. This is filmed in Delhi during the Corona Lockdown in New Delhi at one of the dust bin locations of SDMC. The ragpickers pick the trash with their bare hands and no proper protective gear. This might be unpleasant to watch and the smell even less pleasant but we forget there are people like this are picking it everyday.
