Arrival of Lord Venakteswara and his consorts Laxmi and Padmavati in Delhi on the occasion of Kalyana Mahotsavam. The revered holy idols of Lord Venakteswara and his consorts Laxmi and Padmavati are travelling all the way from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Sri Venkateswara College here in Delhi where “Kalyana Mahotsavam” (celestial wedding) of idols will be performed in grand style this coming Sunday. A replica To give the devotees a feel of the Lord Venakteswara temple at Tirupati, a replica of the temple is being erected on the grounds of Sri Venkateswara College in Dhaula Kuan. Since the idols are made of five metals and embedded with precious stones, there will be fool-proof police and fire protection. Lord Venkateswara is renowned as the most benevolent boon giver.
