The Norbulingka Institute near Dharamsala showcases traditional Tibetan architectural design and cultural heritage in the Himalayan region of Himachal Pradesh. A multi-storey temple building rises in the background, featuring intricately carved wooden window frames, decorative golden trim, and a golden emblem crowning the roofline. The entrance area is draped with white ceremonial banners displaying auspicious Tibetan Buddhist symbols, including the endless knot (Shrivatsa) and the Wheel of Dharma (Dharmachakra). At the centre of the stone staircase stands a red-and-gold pillared pavilion housing a brightly painted Tibetan prayer wheel, also known as a Mani wheel.
