Kiran Bedi speaks about prisoners. She say " If prisoners are left alone it's very dangerous to society because when they come out they could be doubly dangerous. It's just like gaining time to make them doubly dangerous. Therefore men or women well women certainly in particular need careful attention while they are put in custody. They need empowerment strategies which they have been probably deprived of in open society. They need to be made literate, they need to provided vocational training, they need to be taught their rights and responsibilities. They need to be told what self-esteem is all about, protection of their body is so important because biologically women are vulnerable. Therefore it's very important to work especially on women when they are inside the prison" Kiran Bedi
