The Syke's Nightjar (Caprimulgus marattensis) is a small nightjar which is a resident which breeds in Pakistan and parts of NW India. Like most nightjars it is crepuscular and its voice has a continuous churring song with a low soft chuck-chuck in flight. this type of Nightjar breeds in semi-desert areas and is found in a wide variety of habitats in winter. . They are sometimes spotted on roads when their eyes gleam red in the spotlight of a vehicle. The other name for this nightjar is the Sind Nightjar. ID features include.
