Se La is high altitude mountain pass located at around 13700 feet above sea level in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The altitude makes weather unpredictable here and in the month of January, snowfall is a certainty. An all weather road at Se La connects the Tawang district with the rest of India. A curious thing to note is the Optical Fibre Cable (OFC), running parallel to the road that acts as the backbone of the internet and mobile connection in the remote Tawang region. Heavy snowfall on the pass makes the road dangerously slippery and can lead vehicles to veer off the road, as happened with the red Tata Sumo seen here.
