On the 10th anniversary of one of the world's worst industrial disasters in which two thousand five hundred persons were killed and over 2000 people were badly affected due to the leakage of poisonous gas from the union carbide insecticide plant in Bhopal. The affected people led a protest march to complain that compensation due to them has not been paid and that they have not been satisfactorily rehabilitated. The proposed special industrial town for the Bhopal gas victim is yet to take off. The farm technology fair Agro tech 94 opened in Chandigarh. This week organised by the confederation of Indian Industry. The fair sole participation from 200 companies. Israel with a contingent of 25 companies was the partner country.
