Outside our house in Delhi, this Wolf Snake appeared and caught hold of the regular Indian urban chhipkalli or House Gecko. It did not let go and kept on with its peristalsis movements to take in what we commonly call a lizard (but is actually a gecko). When it had pulled in the entire gecko into belly, it quietly slithered off into the darkness on this sticky humid monsoon night! Acting like a baby python, this Wolf Snake employs the same methodology by slowly exercising its mouth and stomach muscles and subsuming the gecko!
