It is commonly stated that the architect who designed the iconic Taj Palace Hotel of Mumbai pulled the plug on his life after realizing that he had built the hotel backwards. This however, is false as the plan was always to build the hotel facing away from the harbor as then the rooms would get the view of the Arabian Sea.
