Qutub Minar: The 13th Century architectural marvel, in Delhi

The Qutub Minar red sandstone minaret standing at 72.5 metres, is the tallest of its kind and was constructed between 1199 and 1220 by Qutb ud-Din Aibak and later by his son-in-law Iltutmish. Expansions to the complex were made between 1296 and 1311 by Allaudin Khilji, who added the massive ceremonial gateway (Alai Darwaza) to the south of the Qutub Minar, as can be seen at the beginning of the video. Towards the end of the video, one can see a mausoleum known as the Tomb of Imam Zamin, housing the remains of Muhammad Ali (popularly known as Imam Zamin), a 16th century Islamic cleric.
