A little boy tells us of his role as Lakshman of Ramlila in Patharchhati, Prayagraj or Allahabad, in this archival footage from 1990's India: "I study in the 8th class, and I have been working here for three years. One year I was Janaki, then Lakshman and I hope to play Ram next. Nothing else. At home, I have mother, father, grandmother and grandfather. I remember and miss home. I live here for 15 days. I eat and go to sleep. No studying here. I think of my studies.
