Damselflies are similar to dragonflies but with smaller wingspans and live in areas with fresh water supply and sources. This pair of damselfly is filmed in New Delhi at our wildfilmsindia wetlands. The male is seen clasping the top of the female's head with claspers in its abdomen. This is to prevent the female from dislodging from its hold by other males which is termed as 'in tandem' in damselflies. This will lead to making of the 'wheel' which is the actual mating process where the male encourages the female to join her abdomen with his forming a wheel shape.
