Men perform Pandav Nritya, one of the prominent and folk dance forms of Garhwal in Uttarakhand, India. Pandav Nritya is a dance form that explains the birth and life of the great Pandava kings. The Mahabharata is an important epic that gives some valuable lessons for life. This dance expresses the great story in simple dance movements. The flow of the story keeps the audience glued to these dance performances. The Pandavas were deceived by their own cousins, the Kauravas and what followed this was the epic war Kurukshetra. Legend has it that this is one of those wars where huge armies were involved and immense losses happened.
